Strawberry Shortcake
Tender buttermilk biscuits split and piled with macerated strawberries and softly whipped cream.

Method
MacerateToss the strawberries with 3 tbsp sugar and let them sit 30 minutes until juicy.
BiscuitsHeat the oven to 425°F. Mix the dry ingredients, rub in the butter until pea-sized, and stir in the buttermilk. Pat to 1 inch thick, cut 6 rounds, sprinkle with sugar.
BakeBake 15 to 18 minutes until golden. Cool slightly.
WhipWhip the cream with the powdered sugar to soft peaks.
AssembleSplit the biscuits, spoon over berries and juices, and top with cream and the biscuit tops.
